Trade software
Software for drywall
Large areas, tight deadlines, and in the end the surface quality nobody discussed up front.
Surface quality Q1 to Q4 is rarely discussed up front — and always afterwards.
What is different for drywall
Measurement and billing
2,50 m²
Openings up to this size are measured over, larger ones deducted — default per DIN 18340.
Billing here is mainly by m², m, Stk..
There from day one
10
services in 4 groups, with text and unit — without prices you would adopt unchecked.
- Stud wall, single boardedm²
- Stud wall, double boardedm²
- Suspended ceilingm²
- Filling to Q2m²
Tailored, not padded
Additionally on: Tenders (GAEB)
Off, usually in the way here: Maintenance & service — you can switch it on any time.
Own fields: Surface quality (Q1–Q4)
And by business size: Sole trader, Small business, Medium business, Large business. A sole trader gets no scheduling board — they would never touch it.
Five workplaces, one software
This is what it looks like for drywall.
This IS the software — running in your browser right now, no account, nothing stored. Click on one of your people: you see exactly the screen they get.
Monday, 6:40 — before the first coffee
“Which site pays off, which does not — and what has to go out today?”
The board shows “Partition practice rooms, 6 rooms” for Medical practice on the square — the job everything hangs on right now at Trockenbau Lehmann.

Customers — search and page
In the product the database searches and pages, not the browser — that is why the list stays fast even with 5,000 customers. When creating a job you type the customer name instead of picking from a list of 5,000; Livo suggests matches from two letters on.

Same page, two roles
The right view for every role.
A journeyman knows their hourly wage — not the billing rate, the contribution margin or what the customer pays. No boss rolls out software that exposes this on site. Here are both views side by side: same business, same data, same screen.
The job
On the left the owner: logged time, quotes and invoices for the job, material value. On the right the same job for the fitter — site, customer, time tracking and material remain, the entire document chain is gone.
The customer file
The owner sees what is outstanding and what has been paid. In the same place the fitter gets the address — they open the customer to drive there, not to learn the payment status.
All 5 roles — and who we mean by them
Every role has a sentence naming a PERSON, not a permission list. Offering five roles means explaining them — otherwise people guess when inviting.
- Owner
- May do everything, including granting access and changing the business. Should be one or two people, not half the team.
- Office
- Quotes, invoices, reminders, customers, materials — the entire commercial day-to-day. Cannot grant access or change the business.
- Site manager
- Runs sites: jobs, measurements, material, times and job costing. Sees amounts — he has to judge whether a site is profitable. No accounting, no DATEV, no access management.
- Accounting
- For your accountant: documents, cash book, incoming invoices and the DATEV export. Cannot write quotes, change customers or touch prices.
- Fitter
- Records times, materials, site diary and defects, sees their own appointments and leave. Sees NO prices, revenue or invoices — that is the norm in the trades.
You can switch this yourself in the demo above — third selector next to trade and size. The sidebar shrinks live.
This is what a working day looks like.
Try it yourself in the demo above — here just WHAT each area is for.
Quote → job → invoice
The chain you run every day
One click turns the quote into a job and the job into an invoice — line items, totals and VAT carry over instead of being retyped. Partial and final invoices included.
- Material and labour items, totals and tax calculated for you
- Partial invoices plus a final invoice that deducts them
- Cancellation instead of deletion — the document chain stays intact
- XRechnung and ZUGFeRD for public clients
Measurements
Measurement per VOB/C — different per trade
Record rooms, deduct openings, let quantities be calculated. The rules come from VOB/C and differ per trade.
- Rooms with wall, ceiling and floor — millimetres, not floats
- Deduct openings with a trade-specific threshold
- Paint and material quantities from the area
- Transfer straight onto the quote as a line item
Time tracking & board
Who is where — and what did it cost
Start the clock on site or add hours later, always tied to a job. The board shows the week; job costing tells you afterwards what was left.
- Start/stop on the phone, works offline
- Your own appointments with customer address and phone — encrypted, visible offline too
- Hour accounts per employee, holidays and absences
- Board with staff and appointments
- Job costing: contribution margin per job
Accounting & DATEV
What your accountant gets
Cash book, incoming invoices and a DATEV export using your chart of accounts. One export at year end instead of a folder.
- DATEV export (EXTF) with SKR03 or SKR04
- Cash book with running balance
- Incoming invoices with due dates and payments
- Open items at a glance
Material & stock
Articles, stock, orders
Your own article master with purchase and sale prices. What a job consumes leaves stock — and job costing uses the real purchase price.
- Articles with purchase price, sale price and unit
- Stock per location, minimum level with warning
- Material withdrawal on the job
- Supplier orders
Everyone gets their own login.
With most providers every extra login costs money — so three fitters share one, and nobody can tell who booked what. Here a login is free, because the business pays.
5 roles, 17 areas
Owner, Office, Site manager, Accounting, Fitter. For each of the 17 areas it is defined who sees it and who may change it — the fitter books hours and sees no money.
Invite your team by e-mail
Send an invitation, the employee sets their own password. No shared account, no login note in the toolbox.
Customer portal with share link
Your client sees their job without creating an account — you decide what is shared. Livo emails the link at the push of a button.
Invoices by email — with a send log
Invoices, quotes and portal links go out with your name as the sender; replies come to you. Every email is logged with its outcome: did it go out or not — and if not, why. A second click sends nothing twice. What the log does NOT tell you: whether the customer read it. Only hidden tracking could, and we do not do that.
API with your own keys
Separate read and write keys, revocable at any time. For your own reporting or your accountant.
The software adapts to you.
No consultant day, no setup fee. Pick your trade and size — the rest is ready. If you want to go deeper, there are 46 settings.

- Overhead rates for material, production and administration, profit, discounts

- Document number ranges per year and type
- Working hours, measurement threshold, service lead time
- Letterhead logo, text blocks, small-business rule
Less is the feature here.
Handing a sole trader a scheduling board is not generous, it is in the way. Every menu item they never touch makes the software bigger than their problem. So it assembles itself during setup — by trade and size.

A dash does not mean “not available”, it means “off at this size”. Adding it costs the amount next to it — per month, for the whole business.
The business pays. Not the head.
With most providers, every login costs extra. Anyone wanting to give the fitter one does the maths first — and then doesn't. That is exactly where rollout fails: the software is for the office, and outside people keep writing on paper.
Provisional pricing — not yet approved. Shown for review, not as an offer.

What we do not promise
This list is here because nobody else writes it down. What has not been verified, we do not promise — even where it would sell better.
No German cash-register ordinance (TSE)
The cash book follows the rules that can be checked mechanically: never negative, reversal instead of edit, chronological. An open retail till needs a TSE — we do not have one.
No GoBD assurance
Whether your business meets tax requirements is your accountant's call. We build the software so it is possible, and do not claim it is settled.
No IDS wholesaler connection
We have read DATANORM since 18 Aug — version 3.0 per documented field description, version 4/5 derived, hence the preview before writing. IDS Connect is planned, not built. While it is missing, it says so here — not in the small print after the contract.
No bank access — you download the statement yourself
Livo reads bank statements as files (CAMT.053 and MT940) and matches the payments. What Livo does NOT do: log in to your bank. There is no automatic retrieval, no FinTS or EBICS connection and no PSD2 licence. You download the statement from your online banking — two clicks, and your banking credentials stay with you.
No native app in the store
The site view runs in the phone's browser and works with no signal. An installable app does not exist yet.
No KoSIT-validated XRechnung
We generate the XRechnung to the specification and check it against our own rules. It has not been through the official KoSIT validator — while that is so, we do not claim it will be accepted by every public authority.
Not yet: ZUGFeRD (PDF with embedded XML)
The PDF with embedded XML is generated and structurally checked — what is missing is confirmation from a real reader and a PDF/A-3 validator
Not yet: Automatic dunning dispatch
The reminder letter is ready, sending it is not — e-mail touches deliverability and sender domains
Try it before you talk to anyone.
The demo above needs no account and no email address. If it suits you, set up your business in two minutes — pick your trade and size, done.
Default per DIN 18340: openings up to 2.5 m² are measured over, larger ones deducted. Check the value against your contract — the standard text governs, not this default. Source of the default: bauprofessor.de, Lexikon „Aufmaßregeln“ (retrieved 15/08/2026) — a summary, not the text of the standard
